What does long-term residential foster care offer society?

Posted by Marlon van Dijk on Dec 16, 2016 3:11:24 PM

Long-term residential foster care for children in care adds value. This is what the social Business Case of foster care homes proves. It helps children with complex and multiple problems in establishing a social network. It improves the chance to find a job and housing and also improves their social position. But long-term residential foster care placement is not just beneficial for the child itself. It also means the financer (often being the city council) benefits from this. Residential foster care prevents more expensive types of care (such as group placements). It also prevents criminality and saves money in benefit payments. When expressing the added value in money, every euro invested has a return of €1,30! In this way, the social business case reinforcesthe added value of residential foster care.

Showcasing the Kent Impact Model during Social Value UK Members Exchange

Posted by Emma Verheijke on Nov 11, 2016 5:00:00 PM

We will be hosting one of the break out sessions during next Monday's (14 November) Social Value UK Members Exchange in Birmingham, together with our partner Aleron Group.

During the session we will be showcasing the "Kent Impact Model", a model Aleron and Sinzer developed for measuring the impact of the Kent's consortium of Age UK, the largest charity in the UK that delivers services to the elderly.

The model has been digitalised in Sinzer software platform and is now being used to measure the impact of the consortium's different locations throughout Kent. Data is collected via the in-build survey module in the SInzer tool, and visualised in a dashboard. Data of the various locations can also be benchmarked, as well as aggregated togain insight in the total impact of the network.

Want to learn more about this shared measurement approach? Join us at the Members Exchange Social Value UK Members Exchange 2016

Can't make it? Check out a sneak preview of the Model in this slideshow: http://www.slideshare.net/Sinzer_Amsterdam/launch-strategic-impact-framework-66548039
