Hoeveel maatschappelijke impact creeert jouw onderneming? Voor wie? En hoe meet je dit? Zeer essentiele vragen voor social enterprises, maar niet gemakkelijk te beantwoorden. Veel ondernemingen ervaren dat:

Last week Amsterdam's Westerpark hosted the annual 'Next Web conference', of which this year's edition featured a special program for 'impact start-ups'. The aim of this program was to shine a spotlight on entrepreneurs and startups that are taking on the world’s most difficult challenges.

For many social enterprises and charities, navigating the complex world of finding and securing social investment can be quite challenging. The recently launched Good FInance aims to bridge that gap, by improving access to information on social investment for charities and social enterprises. Their objectives are:

This year's annual Social Value Matters conference - organised by Social Value International - will take place on 10 and 11 April in Istanbul.This year's conference is being held against a backdrop of increasing inequality and global uncertainty. This year's focus is on what needs to happen to amplifying stakeholder voices to inspire change and maximise social value to the point that equality does improve. Sinzer's Emma Verheijke will be present to host a session on how to measure and manage the risks of not involving stakeholders and your social impact is not happening. 

De ValueGame is een methode voor het meten van de beleefde waarde van maatschappelijke activiteiten voor uw doelgroep: uw klantwaarde. Het creëren van beleefde waarde is doorgaans de primaire doelstelling van uw investering, en daarom een van de belangrijkste zaken om te meten. ValueGame kan worden gebruikt voor zowel (sociaal) marktonderzoek als voor het achteraf vaststellen van de gerealiseerde waarde. Binnen impact analyses kan ValueGame worden gebruikt om - bijvoorbeeld in Social Return on Investment analyses - om de beleefde waarde van effecten te achterhalen en deze zo een plek te geven in de analyse. Op 15 juni biedt Peter Scholten een eendaagse training ValueGame aan. 

Als sociaal ondernemer krijg je steeds vaker de vraag wat voor maatschappelijke waarde je creëert. Je klanten willen graag weten wat je nu precies doet, maar ook gemeenten en fondsen willen meer inzicht voordat ze investeren. En niet onbelangrijk: het is voor jezelf prettig om dit inzicht te hebben om jouw maatschappelijke impact verder te vergroten. Maar het antwoord op de vraag ‘Wat is jouw maatschappelijke impact?’ is vaak nog niet zo makkelijk. Daarom biedt Sinzer samen met Social Impact Factory een traject om sociale ondernemingen te helpen hun maatschappelijke impact beter te meten en begrijpen.

Access - the Foundation for Social Investment - recently launched its Impact Management Programme for two years together with partners such as NPC, Impetus-PEF, Social Enterprise UK, Social Investment Business, Young Foundation and Social Value UK.

The Impact Management Programme aims to build the capacity of charities and social enterprises in the UK to manage their impact.The aims is to build the capacity of charities and social enterprises to manage their impact. This will help them increase their social impact and diversify their income.This exciting new programme will be co-designed by the sector to ensure it is user-friendly and reflects the needs in the sector. It will include training, grant-funding, peer to peer support and expert advice.

There are two strands to the pgramme, depending on the stage of impact management: 1) Pathway strand and 2) Growht Strand. Throught the programme, ventures can apply for grants that they can use for support for their social impact management. For the delivery of this support they can choose from a list of approved expert providers.

The Impact Management Programme has approved the first set of support providers to work with charities and social enterprises applying for impact management grants under the Growth strand.

We will be hosting one of the break out sessions during next Monday's (14 November) Social Value UK Members Exchange in Birmingham, together with our partner Aleron Group. 

During the session we will be showcasing the "Kent Impact Model", a model Aleron and Sinzer developed for measuring the impact of the Kent's consortium of Age UK, the largest charity in the UK that delivers services to the elderly. 

The model has been digitalised in Sinzer software platform and is now being used to measure the impact of the consortium's different locations throughout Kent. Data is collected via the in-build survey module in the SInzer tool, and visualised in a dashboard. Data of the various locations can also be benchmarked, as well as aggregated togain insight in the total impact of the network.
